the orb of oedipus.

What if Freud was right? You love your girlfriend because you have feelings for your mom, and you marry you boyfriend because he acts like your dad. What if Freud was right in analyzing human sexual behaviors? What if sexual desires really burgeon from your deprivation of parental attention? When did the feelings bud? How can plain love develop into effervescent lust? Does a wild girl date good boys to seek for the replacement for her father? Does a bad boy look for good girls to tame himself? Being a good boy means acting fatherly and being a good girl means acting motherly. Are we really looking for our new papa and mama?

You hate your dad for treating you like a little kid, but love your boyfriend when he buys you a lollipop. You get peeved when your mom call you every day, but feel honored when your girlfriend texts you when you work. What if your lover is actually your parent in a different body? Would your love for him or her remain unconditional?

If this is how the world operates, don't you think that no matter where you go, you will end up with your mom or dad?

So do we really leave homes? Or do we just orb around the same zone?
