cross out the contradictions

Jesus says: “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”

People say this famous verse of Bible is contradictory to the rudimentary ideas behind crucifixion. They say Christian ideologies could be argued with this. Calm down, I won’t talk about that here. I just wonder how some people could be very contradictory to their own selves. They forbid their own kids from buying books about Shia Islam but support every single political action taken in Iran. They can swiftly change their view from “Shiah is not the real Islam” to “Shiah people are Muslims, so we must support them against the US!!". I have no idea how they could change the faiths of 62 million people in Iran within a few seconds. Are they practicing sorcery or hiding some kind of potent medicine that could alter people’s religious fundaments from such far distance in such a short time? Shouldn't they be worshipped for this?

Then I know some people who would proudly denounce gay people in public while wearing some stuff from the boutiques of Versace and Marc Jacobs. They audaciously claim that gay people are just a bunch of useless pathetic people who need treatments from shamans or psychiatrists. These people are not necessarily Muslims, Catholics, or Jews. They could be anyone in your clique or house. They apparently have no idea about Gianni Versace’s and Marc Jacobs’ sexual orientation. Then, when they watch television series like Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives, they would say they love the shows and want to meet the producers. Don’t they know that Marc Cherry and Silvio Horta are gay as well? Even worse they admire some of the gay characters. Are they stupid enough to realize that they aspire to be gay?

Another group of people are very globally conscious. They are very compassionate. When the people in Acheh were stricken by the great hit of tsunami, they joined a lot of organizations to support the people. Nevertheless, when Katrina hit New Orleans, they would simply say that the hurricane was merely the ultimate requital from God for the US. How about the fates of the Muslims in New Orleans? Must the angel of death become their best friend just because they live in a secular country?

Some people could easily talk about someone behind his or her back. They call their enemies “plasticine”, ”fake”, “liars”, “bitch”, ”theft”, etc. They told the whole world how much they hate these kinds of people. They told their close friends that they no longer considered A/B/C/D/E friend, but at the same time, would easily ask for help from those people, eat together for every meal, and attend each others’ parties. These all make me lose my ground of the definition of fake. If they really hate fake people why are they hanging out with those people all the time? That’s quite too hypocritical right?

A group of people thinks they know themselves well. They could publicly claim that they do things that they like and love themselves more than anything. Then when interviewed by reporters, they could happily say that they don’t know what their current religious beliefs and sexual tendencies are. They consider themselves critical and independent but work for their family companies just because their parents ask them to do so. When asked why they study a particular subject, they would say it is due to their interests. But why do they need friends to join the same classes as theirs? Why they sometimes say that their parents like to see them being a bla bla bla? Some people could be worse. They know everything about others but nothing about themselves. What is the point of knowing where is the capital city of Zimbabwe if you don’t know why you study Geography?

Am I confused or confusing?
